Begüm is a landscape architect and the founder of ROOT ATELIER which provides both large-scale and small-scale indoor and outdoor landscape consultancy and application services. She creates peaceful spaces with plants where we can escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and breathe. We visited Begüm who inspires us with her courage to create and sustain in her newly opened studio. We asked her a few questions about courage.
Q. What does courage mean to you?
Begüm: I think courage is the intention to look within
Q.What's the most courages thing you've ever done?
Begüm: When I applied to my school in Germany, I assumed program only for one week. But it was one year program which I was accepted, actually. Getting there right away was the bravest thing I've ever done.
Q.Whose courage has inspired you?
Begüm: I can say that I take courage from everything that changes and transforms. Nature comes first in this. The seasonal transitions of nature and its passivation in autumn and its transformation in the spring give me a lot of courage.
